The Peloncillo Mountains:

  • Are 35 miles long with the highest peak being 6928 ft. above seal level
  • ​Are known for their Desert Big Horn Sheep.

Caballos de las Estrellas is located east of the Chiricahua mountains and west of the southern most section of the Peloncillo Mountains.
